About us

Kadish LaNeshama (lit. Kaddish for the Soul) is a Jewish center for teaching the customs and practices of mourning, shiva, shloshim, the year of mourning, Mourner’s Kaddish rules, and prayers for the ascension of the soul of the deceased.

The site includes summaries for the Chief Rabbinate exams on mourning customs.

A little bit about me

My name is Rabbi Yossef Itzhak, I studied in Tomchei Temimim Chabad yeshiva. I was certified as a Rabbi by Rabbi Meir Aharon, may he rest in peace, head of the Or Yaakov Beit Midrash, and even passed the Chief Rabbinate’s certification exam on the matter of mourning.

Nowadays I live in the holy city Safed and manage Kadish LaNeshama.

Our story

Kadish LaNeshama was created for the ascension of the soul of my dear brother Shmuel, may he rest in peace.

We assist families at the time of mourning with accompaniment on matters of Halakha from the time of passing and providing answers to Halakha-related questions.

Through the “Ask the Rabbi” section many Halakha-related questions are received, we do our best to give a quick response to everyone.
